VAI - the "Visual Alignment Indicator" The VAI is featured on all RT/HP and UHP sizes. What is the "Visual Alignment Indicator" (VAI)? The VAI Technology is a unique and innovative system of small sipes of various depths equally positioned around the tire on both shoulders. This allows the user to check for any wheel misalignments and avoid irregular tire wear. How does this technology work? The VAI is displayed on three separate marks on the circumference of the tire through two additional sipes on the opposite shoulder blocks of the tire. If the sipes of the VAI wear irregularly (e.g. one side shows more wear than the other ), there might be a misalignment of the wheels: Additional indicator-sipes in the tread pattern warn you of incorrect tire alignment.=> RTM - the "Replacement Tire Monitor"
